Perery Ellis Cologne for men is a decent, average fragrance in the four-flanker Perry Ellis set. Musky, fresh, a bit piny (a la the fir)nothing seriously unique, yet it is pleasant and very safe for everyday casual wear. Among the four – Citron, Cobalt, Cologne, and Red – Cobalt strikes me as the most wearable and memorable. Blecch! I wanted to like this one, being a fan of several other Perry Ellis 360 flankers. I’d expected the „green“ moniker to translate into, perhaps, a D&G pour Homme type scent (I got that from the excellent Perry Ellis Portfolio Green) or something akin to Lancôme’s Miracle Homme L’Aquatonic with its cut-grass greenness.

Smells very similar to 360 Red for men minus the cinnamon spice, so it’s even more of an AdG clone to me than 360 Red. Basic and somewhat dated to the 90s, but still pleasant. Performance is just average. Projection is maybe an arm’s length while longevity is 4-5 hours.

Props to perry ellis for the fragrance, I do enjoy it, and it is, in a way, unique. It is almost like a gourmand, with that sweet vanilla. I actually really do not like gourmands generally (i.e Le male, Thierry muggler) but this is a nice alternative. So give this one a try. It is understated, classy, and very appealing in my eyes. I don’t smell Drakkar (although 360 Blue smells just like Drakkar). I do smell Acqua di Gio, but I prefer 360 Red to Acqua di Gio. 360 Red seems to last longer. I just bought a 6.7-ounce Perry Ellis 360 Red at theperfumespot.com as the for $29. What a deal, compared to $78 for the 6.7-ounce bottle of Acqua di Gio.
