Any Reason Not To Use The Lvl 80 Boost?

Di: Amelia

The general advice is to level up at least once normally and use the skips on alts later. Mechanics are, to some extent, introduced slowly and are tutorialised as you level. My advise is to level naturally, running the dungeons as you go (you’ll get a letter in the in-game mail) and just saying you’re new so want to watch the cutscenes. Most people are quite chilled out about that sort of My lvl 80 boost has been used to a wrong character by mistake (misscomunication with brother) there’s a way to recover the boost obviously deleting or taking back to lvl 1 the character already boosted?

I got to about lvl20 and decided to get the full game + expansions and got the lvl 80 boosters. I decided to not use them so that I could enjoy leveling and playing through the early game like normal. However, I’m stuck waiting to reach ~31 before I can do the next story mission and I’ve already full-cleared two maps in the process With the announcement of Cataclysm Classic comes the Heroic Upgrade. This grants players a level 80 boost, available for use immediately in Wrath Classic. For more information on the Heroic Upgrade see our article here. This boost will immediately take either a pre-existing or brand new character straight to level

Do you get a level 80 boost for every dlc you buy : r/Guildwars2

My question is: With this new Revenant character, should I play through the game normally and level them up naturally? Or should I just use the Lvl. 80 boost and skip the grind? Also, anything I should know about Revenant to make the process easier on myself? Like how to learn the profession the fastest, and other tips and tricks? This is absolutely not an issue for new players (unless you use the lvl 80 boost instantly). Getting doesn t really apply in level up rewards at a normal pace is totally fine, it’s only an issue when instantly boosting 20+ levels. So i feel leveling dps through trusts is not really worth it since your time is better spend doing other stuff to level. This got me thinking though, for me one of the main usages for GC squadrons was for dps to level quickly through dungeons since the dps queue is normally way longer than the tank or healer queue.

Why do people discourage boosts?

So I’m planning on buying the latest expansion, meaning I’m getting the boost to level 80 and trying to figure out what class to boost. Now I have played the game for some time but I find myself just restarting a new character for whatever reason so I know how most of the classes play. my guess w Help choosing several reasons for class with level 80 boost So, I have played GW2 in the past, i last played at PoF launch, didn’t really get far though and I’ve never gotten to „endgame“. I had to the urge to play again and bought EoD and was looking to use the 80 boost. I have a level 80 Engineer, but I wanted to do something else.

Depends on the class. Would certainly manually level an Engineer or Elementalist so you are not too overwhelmed with all their abilities at 80. Would probably boost a Necromancer or Warrior as those are relatively straight foward to play. Other classes somewhere in the middle, depending on how good you are at video games. i for some reason ended up with a pretty weird set for my thief, power, vit , ferocity. What is the use of ferocity when I don’t have any crit chance ? Only handy game is in a 100% crit from stealth situation? Anyway I wondered if there is a way to select level 80 gear in the boosted hub? To pick your own weapons/armor. Level 80 boost Hello there, I just start to play GW2 a few days ago, I did create a character and start to play the game, I did reach level 80 yesterday and I found out that when you use the lv 80 boost you get a set of items to start with, I’m thinking if that set is better that what I have now..my question is, can I get that set ?

When you use the level 80 boost, you start at a different location than the one you should start, seeing things way ahead of the personal story.. not to mention the first character experience from 1 to 80 is something you will miss, like meeting challenging foes that you do not have yet the level or gear to fight against.. meeting people that will be doing the same content I would say it depends. for some new players it’s better to boost, as they’ll enjoy more of the world, especially if they prefer sandbox types of game. For others going through the leveling and the story and seeing your char grow, is a better experience for them. I would say play the game till you think you are fed up with the base game, and if you’re not lv 80, use the boost. I have 2 characters: a level 55 Mesmer and a level 2 Ranger. I also have one level 80 boost, which I got when buying the HoT + PoF bundle. I have recently started to level up my crafting (on the Mesmer). I am undecided about whether to use my level 80 boost on the mesmer or the ranger. I have 3 options: 1. Use it on the mesmer. Pluses: I have played GW2 in the past

The Level-80 Boost is a special, consumable item that auto-levels one character to the maximum level. When activated, the boost will first begin a limited trial for the current character: moving th

Boosted, worth going back for personal story?

This question comes up every now and then. I recommend boosting a character to 80. There are several reasons for this. The armor and bags you get are more useful now than later It is almost guaranteed that when you reach Level 80, you will not use the same weapons, skills and traits that you used on the way up to 80. Therefore you learned nothing useful while Is there any other usage for the level 80 boost? I have three sitting in my shared slot but I like the leveling so much that I do not want to skip it. I know it was said that we wouldn’t get the Tengu as a new playable race. Is there any other reason that we shouldn’t create a new character and use the Level 80 boost prior to the release of EoD? I’m not asking for specific spoilers, just if

If you recently applied another character service to your character (like a transfer or faction change), you must wait 72 hours before you can use a boost on the same character. It completely depends on what do you like in the game and what do you intend to do. I personally never to use my bought one and don’t intend to do so. The boost I got for previous expansions were more than enough. I’ve also enjoyed leveling so there’s that. If you can easily afford it and despise leveling then it’s definitely a different case. Also one important thing to note. During the

Sure, the complete edition simply contains the usual 2 DLC’s with the 3 expansions, so since each expansion contains a shared inventory slot with a lvl 80 booster you will get 2 shared inventory slots with one of them containing both lvl 80 boosters. But why would you want to start over? I don’t really see any reason for having to do that. Can’t you just buy Most people say not to use the level 80 boost because most of what can be those with multiple accounts done at level 80 can also be done just as you’re leveling. A big part of the game is just exploring, doing events, and doing hearts. I bought PoF and applied my Lvl 80 boost to my lvl 45 character 5 days ago. Since then I’ve been playing non-stop. Only thing is, my now lvl 80 character hasn’t been leveling, nor does she show any xps gained at all on the progress bar, it’s just blank. Only thing she’s been getting is points for

In short, level 80 boosters repel good players and welcome bad players. I think that they should be temporarily disabled for new accounts, at least until they reach level 80 on are several any character on their own. This will still allow anyone who wants alts to boost their alts. The only people that it might affect negatively are those with multiple accounts.

It should be noted that if you boost a level-100 trial character as opposed to a brand-new, low-level character, they’ll be given a level three garrison players and welcome and a few extra bags. In essence, there’s no reason not to boost a trial character if you’re planning to boost a fresh character to 110.

My only concern is how valuable the lvl 80 boost is, if you can make do with for example tomes of knowledge, I’d use them instead. Switch from normal levels to masteries is seamless, i.e. everything rewards universal XP for them. You can lvl to 80 normally, ignoring the personal story, and come back to it at any time because you’ll always be down-leveled to the appropriate level. Same thing happens if t have any crit you boost: you just get down-leveled if you go back and play it. Should I use the level boost to get to 30 and play the Warlords of New York campaign and then go back later and do the base story (since the missions are replayable)? Should I just continue playing the base campaign and unlock everything at a normal pace (like everyone before the expansion did) and then move onto the expansion content?

Should I level with Tomes of Knowledge?

Boost has never maxed professions. The first boost offered in Warlords did max professions if your character was a certain level. Never bought a classic boost, so not sure the ins and outs of it. But I know historically it used to boost professions as well. That doesn’t really apply in retail these days since professions are sectioned based off expansion.

Very simply poll. Most players know the problem, both from these forums, as well as when introducing friends to this game:Before your friend/player/etc not i even gets to know his character, class, the game lore, or basic game mechanics, they use the level 80 boost. The now suddenly level 80 fledgling

Reply reply fr11z • Actually not, i am just „hoping“ they consider adding the feature as i feel like the only reason people are against it, are because they either: 1. cannot afford a boost (which is understandable, not everyone has 60EUR disposable cash) 2.
