Cant see fingerprint option in settings

When running Windows on my ThinkPad P16s Gen 3, the power LED (which is next to the fingerprint reader) lights up green when asking for authentication and blinks amber when an invalid print is tapped. Would it be possible to emulate this behavior in Fedora? The reader is a Synaptics model, the USB ID is 06cb:00f9. Thanks! My sensor works and I was able to fprint enroll. fprintd.service is running Gnome Settings > Users > Myuser > Fingerprint login enabled When I’m on boot login screen or lock the system and try to login there is no indication of fingerprint being available as login option and it’s not reacting to touching the sensor.

Hi, I have tried to get around to enabling fingerprint after the latest update. However, I have not been able to figure out how to do that. Can someone please provide a step-by-step guide to enabling the feature? Thanks. It came with fingerprint sensor enabled by default using Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system. I got an HP ProBook 440 G5, running Fedora 41 with KDE 6.2.
