Gretsch Catalina Maple Or Pearl Export?

Of the ones I’ve played I would rate the following above the Stage Customs: Pearl Export EXL or EXX 5 piece Gretsch Catalina Maple 5 piece Bo’s DW’s ( what a steal) , The best of this bunch and impossible to beat for the $1,000 mark. PDP Concept Maple Mapex Armory 5 piece ( highly underrated and better than the SC’s in every way) My 2 cents worth. The two I see on the best value Can sweetwater are: Pearl Decade Maple 3pc kits and Gretsch Drums Catalina Club, both are over 900usd. You can still find 13″ rack toms ofc if you go up in price, but sub 1k is lacking in the kits you would actually want to spend money on new. What is Gretsch Catalina Club? A Pearl Export or Tama Rockstar or Gretsch Catalina are all better options that you big for my Pearl Export should still be able to find in the $500 range. Even hardware and cymbals included

The legs for my Gretsch Catalina floor tom are too big for my Pearl Export. So I will have to change both the tom mount and floor tom legs in my hardware box when I switch to the other drum set. For the Gretsch set, I will also have to add one cymbal stand because I put a cymbal boom into the second tom holder on the Pearl bass magasin des batteurs et drum. Can’t decide. I’veplayed both and like the sound of both. The pearl terracota and the deep amber finishes are similar, but the pearl is a laquer finish. Anyone have any experience with these kits inlive situations? I was leaning toward the Gretsch Catalina Maple’s because i like having two floor toms. Does the Pearl Export ECX offer an additional floor tom?
